How to select hair in photoshop?

Don't worry if your hair in the photo gone weird and can't mask because now I'm going to show you how to mask any kind of crazy hair in Photoshop within four steps.

Things Required

  • A photo for masking
  • Adobe Photoshop (I use Adobe Photoshop CS5)

Steps

Open your source file and select whole hair as much as possible like mine

Once you are selected, click 'Refine Edge'

Now you will get a new window opened where you will find a bunch of controls of Refine Edge.
Press 'W' to select View mode as White.

Next you have to set radius value as '10 px'

Now without closing the window, start rubbing your hair where you need to be masked with the lasso tool.

Cool, You are done!!! Now you can click OK and Rasterize the layer for more edits.
